I started (and abandoned) this project while my Grandmother was dying of ovarian cancer. She died on July 18th. Her birthday was yesterday. She would've been 86. I will resume this project and have some other ideas about continuing her legacy too. Hug someone today. Tomorrow's not promised.
The Susan Project
My paternal grandmother is known throughout her circle of friends and family for sending hand written letters. She is terminally ill and on my visits to her it is my job to write to her friends and family on her behalf. It warms my heart to complete the task for her. I decided I wanted her legacy to live on through me. So I began a project to send 366 pieces of mail within the next year.

Heart Attack
The first piece of mail sent as part of The Susan Project. A Heart Attack inspired by Brittany Watson Jepsen at The House That Lars Built. My heart attack is neither polished nor professional- let's hope it's still the thought that counts.
I love these Heart Attacks so much I think it's going to become a regular thing. Why reserve all the fun for Valentine's Day when I can spread cheer and love all year?
The re-purposed box I painted and decoupaged .... in progress
Paper hearts for the heart attack.
Valentines Suckers for Eden to hand out to nurses and residents at the hospice.
We stumbled upon a room of balloons at the hospice.... there may have been dancing and playing in them too ...

My funny Valentine
Eden and My Grandmother. (I'm sorry for the terrible picture quality. Stick with me as I get back into the swing of things the photography will improve. I promise. )
